Gordon Brady – Business Partnership Manager
Gordon began his working life in the British Army with the Royal Engineers, training as an Electrical Engineer and serving in the UK and Germany before active service during the first Gulf War. After time served in the Army he worked in management of a retail catering chain throughout London and the South East, and quickly developed the strong man management skills required to successfully operate a fast moving catering business. Gordon was keen to utilise these new skills in his area of expertise as an electrical engineer and joined a company operating in the Automotive Industry as a service engineer.
This provided a springboard for him to open his own company - Bead Technologies Ltd - installing; operating and maintaining robotic dispense equipment for adhesives, sealants and glue. The company grew from a standing start in December 2002 to become a supplier to Airbus, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and others, and within 10 years was operating at maximum capacity for the UK market. This seemed a sensible point to make a career change, and in 2012 having completed his MSc here; he sold the company and moved to join the University of Bedfordshire.
